Airborne Mouse is an Android application designed to work with the Logitech Touch Mouse Server. Letting you control your computer with your Android phone. Airborne Mouse is unique in that it allows users to install a single piece of software on their computer and control it with either an iPhone/iTouch/iPad or an Android phone.
How it works:
- Install the Logitech Touch Mouse Server on your Mac or Windows pc
- Install Airborne Mouseon your Android phone
- Press menu
- Touch settings
- Enter your computer’s IP address

- Use move 2 fingers to scroll (1 finger to move mouse)

Regards Olaf.

/ May 2, 2012Based on the limitations of the Logitech server I do not think this would be possible.

/ May 6, 2012Hi,
Wonderfull little app, works splendid on all my osx´s and windows´s:)
Unfortunately i upgraded android and i forgot to do a backup, and I am google apps free, so no play(market). Might you consider making the free version available on http://www.androidpit.com or a aptoide repo?
Regards Pete.

/ June 29, 2012Just to let you know of an issue I’ve encountered since your last update. I’ve got a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, ICS v4.04, and the app icon in my app tray has been swapped with the “refresh server” icon in the program (so the “refresh server” icon is using the app icon instead, too). I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled from the market, but the problem persists. Doesn’t affect the way the app works though, so it’s not a big deal.

/ June 30, 2012Thanks, reporting this. I will correct that issue in the next update.

/ July 14, 2012Hi,
I really liked Airborne Mouse for android, as it solved my HTPC problems with my remote keyboard.
However, I noticed that it dosn’t support non-english characters – whenever I switch to Hebrew (for example) on liveKeyboard, nothing is sent to the server.
English works fine, btw
I’m using v2.0.2
thanks!

/ August 27, 2012Sadly the Logitech server does not support double byte wide characters (like Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese…etc).

/ August 27, 2012Hi
New Android user, was using Logitech Touch Mouse on my iPod Touch. Would like to keep Logitech Touch Mouse Server and Air Borne looks ideal. Is it only a mouse cursor? Or is there a virtual keyboard? If so can’t seem to get it working.
Happy to buy pro version if has keyboard input
Thanks

/ August 27, 2012OK I found the keyboard lol, had to click in to the white empty box above the mouse buttons, however its a bit strange, for example in Windows Media Center search for music text field, if in Air Borne I type in “Elvis” and click done no text appears in the Media Center text field, until I move the mouse on the Air Borne pad and then the text appears on the Media Center screen.
Why do you have to click Done button anyways? Or is that just how the keyboard works in Android?
In Logitech Touch Mouse as you just type into the iOS app the text appears on the Media Center TV screen as you are typing it.
Thanks

/ August 27, 2012Go to the settings screen and enable the ‘live keyboard’ feature was disabled by default because it does not work well with some android keyboards, (like swipe) and it does not benefit from the phone’s spell checker.

/ August 27, 2012Hi
Thanks for the reply, OK will try turning on that setting, will have to try later as the wife is using the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 now. I liked the native Samsung keyboard on it but I couldn’t figure out how to add Thai language? So I installed a Keyboard app called “DroidSans Thai Keyboard”, we now have English and Thai but the new keyboard layout is no where near as good at the native Samsung one.
Cheers

/ August 28, 2012Selecting Live Keyboard in the settings did the trick thanks! Any way to delete one of the the “Servers” in the list? I initially entered just the IP address of the HTPC. I then entered the Hostname instead but cant seem to remove the entry with the IP address from the list of Servers in Airborne.
Also does the Pro Version remove the adverts at the top ? If so buying it now.
Thanks
Jmaxxz
/ August 28, 2012The pro version is ad free. Right now there is no way to remove a server from your history. If you really need it gone you could follow the directions found at: How to clear Android application data.
and delete all the data stored by Airborne mouse. (Note, this will clear all other settings you may have changed in Airborne mouse.)

/ August 28, 2012OK just bought the Pro app, I tried clearing the data for the app but the two server entries still remain, one with the IP address has Discovered next to it, the one with the hostname has History next to it. I guess its not a big deal just thought I’d like to remove the entry with the IP address and use the hostname one now.
thanks
Jmaxxz
/ August 28, 2012I am surprised the hostname entry works for you. I’ve always had quite bad luck using hostnames with the app.
cw-kid
/ August 28, 2012Clearing data does actually remove both entries from the Server list, but the one with the IP address is being automatically discovered and added. In which case a feature request would be, to be able to rename the “servers” so if you have multiple PC’s you can pick the names rather than having to remember what the IP’s are. I have 3x Windows Media Center PC’s in the house.
Cheers

/ August 28, 2012Can confirm adding a hostname entry and selecting that from the server list works fine, I just end up with two entries for the one PC then, one hostname and one IP address entry.
Is it possible to turn off auto discovery? So the IP address entry doesn’t get added. Like I said it not the end of the world really, just happy I can use a touch mouse program on Android with Logitech Touch Mouse Server.
Jmaxxz
/ August 28, 2012No, I don’t want to allow auto discovery to be turned off (because most users need it). However the ability to rename a history entry maybe a possibility. I am considering putting that into a future version.

/ May 24, 2015What happened to Airborne on the marketplace? I paid money for it but I can’t download it from Google Play anymore.
jmaxxz
/ August 6, 2015It is no longer listed on Google as Google changed their terms of service for android developers. I was not comfortable with the new terms of service and thus the app was pulled.

/ September 30, 2015Is it available anywhere else? Can we request a binary if we can send you proof that we brought it? or could you opensource it so we could build it ourselves if you don’t want to host it anywhere else?
jmaxxz
/ September 30, 2015Sure, hit me up on twitter if you have an account and I will get you a copy. For new users or not previously paying users I still offer it through the amazon app store.

/ January 23, 2017I paid for it before it was pulled then have changed phones several times and now that I need it… I can’t use it. Where is this “menu” you speak of? I need it for a presentation, like tomorrow and I knew that this would have worked if it actually worked!!!!
jmaxxz
/ January 24, 2017No one mentioned a “menu” so I don’t know what you are talking about. Hit me up on twitter if you have an account and I will get you a copy. For new users or not previously paying users I still offer it through the amazon app store.

/ August 8, 2015It’s still on torrents. Fuck you jmaxxz. Crying like a bitch. Your app was great.
