Google’s Chrome Is Rusty

  1. It suffers for the Carpet Bombing flaw which could resulting in drive by downloads of malicious files.
  2. It seems Google may have been a little less then honest when it said each tab runs as its own process,  when one of the chrome process dies multiple tabs are affected.  If the Chrome process that dies was the “master” chrome the entire browser comes crashing down.  If the Chrome process that dies is not the “master” the user can still see multiple tabs in the browser stop rendering. Google’s implementation of a multiprocessor browser does come close to achieving the robustness for which it was advertised.

NOTE: Chrome has since updated and fixed both of these issues. YAY!
